They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. This year for Valentine’s Day, why not make it a healthy way to his heart … and not tell him. If you’re looking for a romantic meal for your sweetheart without going over your budget or daily calorie allowance, remember to K.I.S.S., or Keep It Simple Sisters!
Another plus for cooking for our special ones on Valentine’s Day is how crowded restaurants are for this day especially. I love setting a beautiful or even fun table simply to emphasize the specialness of this meal. Hello … I know we are all busy, but how much time and effort does it take to get out a couple placemats, add cloth napkins and candles?
After being married a zillion years, I have learned like many of you have that it truly is the little things that really matter to those we love. Lavish gifts at my stage of life are not what lights my lights. I need attention, a listening ear and lots of appreciation for basically my part in our marriage. Not surprisingly, my BobBob needs the same things, too. Cooking his favorite foods made just for him is one of his love gifts … FOOD!
A few years ago I created this simple salmon recipe with spinach and it has become a hit with friends and family. It’s also fast, easy and delicious!
See the video to learn the easy steps for preparing this dish and I’ll also reveal the worst thing you can do when cooking seafood.
If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, here are some pictures of simple salmon dishes I’ve made over the years. See how easy, beautiful and delicious salmon can be?
Whatever plans you cook up for Valentine’s Day, I hope you have a sweet one! And if you have a favorite salmon recipe, I’d love to hear about it. Share it in the comments below!
