Getting your home ready for summer doesn’t always require a ton of effort or money. Here are five tips for adding some brightness to your home for this fun season!
1). CHANGE OUT YOUR PILLOWS
Add instant color, pattern, and informality.
2). ADD FLOWERING HOUSE PLANTS
My favorites are orchids and geraniums, but you should use any you like!

3). BUY COLORFUL ACCESSORIES
I especially like fun ceramics, or things such as plates, candlesticks, bowls, and place mats.
4). USE A FUN AREA RUG
There are so many inexpensive ones available, so why not try one in your home?
5). CHECK YOUR LIGHT BULBS
Dull or incorrect light bulbs can darken even the prettiest rooms. TIP: If you have LED lights in your home, use the 2700 series for beige/brown interiors, which give off a warmer light. In white/grey spaces, use the 3300 series for a cooler light. Incorrect light source and color lighting is a big bummer and squashes your room’s potential.

Lamps are an easy way to add color and LIGHT to any room.
